Materials and Workmanship
What a bag carries is decided long before you pick it up for the first time.

Why genuine leather?
No compromises. No greenwashing. We believe in materials that stand the test of time. Leather is durable, repairable and breathable – it gets better, not worse. Leather is a by-product of the food industry. No animals are bred specifically for our bags. Anything that isn’t processed is discarded – with all the consequences that entails for the environment and our resources. We give this material a second life.
Not all leather is the same.
High-quality leather. Carefully selected. Many brands use split leather – the lower layer of the hide, covered with dye, embossing or artificial grain. Visually similar. But it cannot be compared in terms of feel, durability and character. Milène uses nappa leather – a soft, supple full-grain leather from the top layer of the hide. It develops a patina, gaining character over time, making every piece unique. Responsibly produced: We work exclusively with Italian LWG-certified tanneries – certified environmental standards for water, energy and chemicals.

Innenfutter

High-quality metal accessories
Precise, durable, with a subtle finish. Buckles, eyelets, fittings – all made in Italy, all with a finish that lasts. The buckle is finished using a cathodic dip coating process: scratch-resistant, durable, with an even sheen.
Responsibility
From the outside in: no coincidence, no shortcuts. All our material partners share the same commitment: sustainable processes, certified standards, and the responsible use of resources. No empty promises – just putting it into practice.
